The Challenge (Product: Sir Kensington)

Small-to-medium sized entrepreneurial food product start-ups like Sir Kensington are oftentimes challenged with finding a packaging container that will help them enter the marketplace successfully.  However, the very thing they desire—shelf differentiation—is not easy to achieve when the launch is not backed by over a million unit quantities which get the attention of most custom bottle manufacturers.

The Solution

Pretium utilized their equipment and technology to support a plan that provided  smaller bottle production quantities in a cost-effective manner. Pretium also deployed its expert engineering services to assist Sir Kensington with smaller launch quantities by offering hands-on collaboration and interactive design throughout all developments stages.  First, Pretium delivered a 20-ounce ketchup design that easily fit into hands of various sizes and allowed for a unique label to support shelf billboarding for differentiation.  Next, Pretium delivered a full-bodied 12 –ounce yellow mustard and a 20-ounce bottle to market mayonnaise.

The Results

Affordable, custom-designed bottles, with improved speed-to-market.  Per the cofounder of Sir Kensington, Scott Norton, “Partnering with Pretium enabled us to meet our aggressive timeline goals with a custom package. Further, the feedback we have gotten from buyers is that they love the appearance and squeezability of the new bottle.”
